Guru Rangashree who is adorned with state honour 'KARNATAKA KALASHREE' by the Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithyashala Academy .Goverment of Karnataka,is the artisitic director of kinkini,an organization dedicated to promoting indian classical dances and preserving the art of Bharatnatyam.She is a danseuse par excellence ,a versatile choreographer and a higlyh acxlaaccl guru.She is trained in the Bharathnatyam tradition under Guru V.S Kaushik,Guru R.Bhanumati,Guru Padmi Bamachandran and Guru Narmada.She has Undergone advanced training in the nuances of abhinaya skills (the art of expression) from stalwarts like Dr k.Venkatalakshamma and Smt.Kalanidhi Narayanan
Guru Rangashree, a gold medalist, is a recipient of the scholarship awarded by the Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy and the Department of Culture, Govt. of India for advanced training. She is an empanelled artist of ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) Government of India for assignments abroad. Guru Rangashree has been performing since 1983. She has given innumerable solo performances all over India and abroad in dance festivals as well as under the aegis of various well known organizations and participated in seminars, workshops and lecture demonstrations. She has many titles and awards to her credit such as NATYA KALA KAUSHALI and KALAVATAMSA .
Guru Rangashree is also an A grade artist of Indian television (Doordarshan) and her performances have been telecast on National and Regional television. She holds a Masters degree in Mass Communication and Journalism. As a Guru par excellence she has presented 62 of her disciples in their debut performances
